Pellet-Grilled Monster Head Cookies

PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large bag of candy eyeballs
  • 1 ready-to-bake cookie dough (several brands available on the market)
  • 3 natural liquid food colours
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 70 g of caster sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter

We also recommend using:

Pit Boss Pellets Apple

Cast Iron Griddle

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

1 -Preheat your pellet grill to 175 °C. Make sure you close the deflector.

2 -Line two large baking trays with greaseproof paper.

3 -In a large bowl, mix the cookie dough, melted butter, eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, and stir until thoroughly blended.

4 -Divide the dough between 3 separate bowls and pour a different colour (whatever colour you want – we used green, blue and purple) into each bowl. Mix the dough well so that each bowl is thoroughly impregnated with each dye

5 -Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls.

6 -Position each ball about 5 cm apart on the baking tray and grill until the tops crack and look well cooked, i.e. 8 to 10 minutes baking time. Remember to turn each cookie halfway through baking, i.e. after 4 to 5 minutes.

7 -While the cookies are still hot and melted, stick candy eyeballs all over them straightaway.

Let the cookies cool completely before giving your kids permission to devour these scary but delicious monsters!
