Recette saumon au miel

PELLET-GRILLED SALMON IN GARLIC BUTTER AND HONEY

For 6 to 8 servings

PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS

    • 1 salmon fillet (about 1 kg)
    • 55 g of unsalted butter
    • 80 ml of honey
    • 2 sliced oranges
      • 4 crushed garlic cloves
      • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
      • 2 teaspoons of sea salt
      • 1 pinch of crushed pepper

We also recommend using the following for this recipe:

Competition Blend Pellets (mix of maple, hickory and cherry)

      COOKING THE SALMON

      1. Preheat your pellet grill to 230 °C

      2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a low-medium heat. Add the honey, garlic and lemon juice, whisking until the honey has completely melted and the mixture is properly blended.

      3. Cut the salmon fillet into 8 equal pieces (for 1 fillet weighing 1 kg). Then place 8 pieces of tinfoil (large enough to be folded) on a flat surface and put the pieces of salmon on each piece of foil. Pour the butter / honey mixture over the salmon then spread it evenly. Sprinkle each piece with salt and pepper (you can also use your own choice of herbs, such as parsley, coriander, etc.). Close the sheets of aluminium carefully and make sure you seal them up properly so that the sauce doesn't run out.

      4. Cook in your grill for about 12 to 18 minutes, depending on how well you like them cooked. Turn the grill off, remove the papillotes from the grill and serve immediately with the orange slices.
